Xenon Short Arc Lamp Drivers

Xenon & Mercury Short-Arc Lamp Power Supplies

Lumina Power offers the most complete selection of short-arc lamp power supplies available. With models from 150W to over 7kW we have power supplies for lamps offered by all major manufacturers worldwide. Both models feature active power factor correction (single phase models) or universal 3 phase mains at 5kW and up. Compact switchmode design reduces size and improves the ripple spec to less and 0.5% on all models.

  • Xenon lamp Power Supplies available from 150 to 6000 watts
  • Mercury lamp power supplies from 650 to 5000 watts
  • Low Ripple output: 0.5%, Low RFI/EMI
  • Advanced "Short-Pulse" Igniters for reduced electrode wear
  • Single phase models feature active power factor correction
  • 200 to 440 VAC 3 phase models for all world mains voltages

Models

XLB Series

The XLB series lamp ballasts are offered in 7 sizes from 150 to 6000 watts and are constant current sources designed for precision operation of short-arc Xenon lamps. The 150 and 300 watt models are low cost open frame configurations that are an excellent upgrade from the older designs on the market today. The 650/1000/1500 and 3000 watt models are power factor corrected while the 5000 watt model can be operated from any 3 phase mains input worldwide.

MLB Series

The MLB series Mercury lamp ballasts are offered in 5 sizes from 650 to 5000 watts. MLB power supplies provide a precise constant power output that will track the varying impedance of the mercury lamp for stable light output. Similar in size to the XLB power supplies, the MLB series shares the same power factor correction or 3 phase input designs as the XLB models.

Igniters

Lumina Power offers the most advanced lamp igniters in the industry. The “Short-Pulse” igniters are designed to reliably light the lamp on the first try using a fast rise time, low energy pulse dramatically reducing lamp electrode wear. When combined with the XLB or MLB power supplies, ignition and operation of the lamp is completely automatic.
