February 19, 2010: Successful Introduction of New Power Supply Models at Photonics West
This year's Photonics West show in San Francisco was attended by over 1100 exhibitors
and 18,000 attendees. Lumina Power introduced several new products for laser diode
applications along with additions to our XLB/MLB short-arc lamp power supply line.
The new board level laser diode drivers drew large numbers of visitors to the booth.
These new low cost DC input power supplies are available in various power levels to
300 watts and can be operated in CW or pulsed mode. The new LDQCW series can output
up to 200amp pulses and run at average power levels of over 100watts.
The newest addition to the short-arc lamp power supply line is the 650watt,
XLB-650 with external igniter. This power supply fills the need for a lower power
version of our popular XLB-1000 (1kW) supply and will easily operate traditional
arc lamps and xenon Cermax lamps. All of our short arc lamp power supplies can be
ordered for Xenon (XLB) or mercury (MLB) lamp operation. For more information please
contact us.

August 15, 2009: Revolutionary LDPC Series Power Supplies Development
Lumina Power announces the release of a new line of DC input laser diode drivers creating an
efficient and cost-effective solution for the medical and industrial laser market.
The new LDPC diode drivers are designed in response to the laser industries demands for
smaller packaging as this new light based technology continues to migrate into such diverse
applications as dermatology, dentistry, industrial marking and welding.
The laser diode has changed the way lasers are designed and built.
Laser systems are becoming smaller as diodes replace the bulkier flashlamp based systems.
The LDPC series laser diode drivers offer the laser engineer a further reduction in packaging
size without compromising the quality and diode protections required in these applications.
